CTET and UTET are teacher eligibility examinations for candidates preparing for primary and upper-primary teaching roles. This section gives students one place for guidance, notes, tests, and practice material.

Eligibility
- Paper I is generally for primary level teacher eligibility.
- Paper II is generally for upper-primary level teacher eligibility.
- Required educational qualification depends on the latest official notification.
- Candidates should verify age, category, and qualification rules before applying.
- Persons possessing the minimum qualifications for teaching staff as per National Council for Teacher Education regulations, as amended and notified from time to time, are eligible to appear in CTET.
- Minimum qualifications laid down in the Recruitment Rules of the Appropriate Government, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, or Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti should also be followed where applicable.
- The candidate must satisfy his or her eligibility before applying and will be personally responsible if found ineligible as per the given eligibility criteria.
- Appearing in CTET does not mean that the candidate's eligibility has been verified, and it does not give any automatic right to appointment.
- Final eligibility will be verified by the concerned recruiting agency or appointing authority.
Exam Pattern
CTET exam pattern ko samajhna preparation ka pehla step hai. CTET Paper 1 primary level ke liye hota hai aur Paper 2 upper-primary level ke liye hota hai.
Paper 1: Classes 1 to 5
- Child Development and Pedagogy: 30 questions
- Language I: 30 questions
- Language II: 30 questions
- Mathematics: 30 questions
- Environmental Studies (EVS): 30 questions
Paper 2: Classes 6 to 8
- Child Development and Pedagogy: 30 questions
- Language I: 30 questions
- Language II: 30 questions
- Mathematics and Science: 60 questions, for Maths/Science teacher candidates
- Social Studies / Social Science: 60 questions, for Social Studies teacher candidates
- Questions are objective type multiple-choice questions.
- Candidates should download and check the latest official CTET syllabus from ctet.nic.in before final preparation.
